Would you consider the fact that I've blown my daughter's future college fund on new books an issue? Cool, me either. I knew we'd be friends.

BOOKISH THINGS

If you're missing wine nights with your girls, Act Like a Lady is the book for you. This is probably my favorite book I've read all year. It will definitely pull you out of any funk you're in and also make you feel like you're just hanging out with your best friends.

I received an advanced copy of Act Like a Lady by Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jac Vanek from Rodale Books. This was a fresh, irreverent, and embarrassingly honest (like suuuuuper honest) memoir/advice book from the creators of The Ladygang podcast.

Thank you Rodale Books for the copy and the chance to review this wonderful book!

Here is my complete review of Act Like a Lady by Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jac Vanek:

RATING⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

RELEASE DATE: June 2, 2020

PUBLISHER: Rodale Books

COMPARABLE TITLES: Untamed by Glennon Doyle, Stray by Stephanie Danler, Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams

SUMMARY: Irreverant, hilarious, and cringe-inducing, Act Like a Lady is the perfect read if you’re longing for the comfort of your best friends. Throughout the book, Becca, Keltie, and Jac give their best advice, share their humiliating stories, and offer their authentic support to all women just trying to get through this life thing.

As they recount their horrifying Tinder dates, their stressful climbs up the corporate ladder, and their journeys to finally feeling comfortable in their own skin, you’ll fall in love with the 3 leaders of The Ladygang. Highly recommend this book to all girls (and guys too!) who need to know they’re not alone.

WHY THIS IS A MUST-READ: If you’re missing wine nights with your girls, this is the book for you. I felt like I was gathered around with my best friends, listening to their horror stories from past hookups, jobs, and just life in general. While this book is technically classified as self-help, what really pulled me in were the extremely candid stories from the three authors (who are also the creators and head bitches of The Ladygang podcast). This is probably my favorite book I’ve read all year. It will definitely pull you out of any funk you’re in and also make you feel like you’re just hanging out with your best friends.
